IEEE Meetings count as Professional Development Hours for Professional Engineers

The IEEE and the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors have agreed that IEEE meetings count as professional development hours for professional engineers. If you want to use these meetings as PDHs, you must sign in on the meeting roster and also have the Chapter Chair sign and date the meeting invitation at the end of the meeting. You are responsible for supplying the meeting invitation. This should provide sufficient evidence if the Board audits your claimed PDH hours. In addition, the EMC Chapter Chairperson registers the meeting with the national IEEE web site.

Disclaimer: The above process has NOT been reviewed by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors as sufficient evidence for meeting attendance and cannot be guaranteed to meet the Board's needs.
