Volunteer Needed for Employment
Coordinator Position |
Basically, the
vision for the IEEE Orlando Section
Employment Coordinator (EC) is that
he/she is a person motivated to help
local members with career
development activities. As an
example, the EC would be the person
to attend the Region 3 Fall meeting
and go to the planned “train the
trainer” and career workshop
sessions. That person would then
return to the home Section and
facilitate local Section career
development meetings, using the
material and experience from the
Region meeting. The EC would also
learn about all of the career
development and employment
assistance services and products
that IEEE, IEEE-USA, etc have
available, and be willing and able
to help local Section members take
advantage of the services. The exact
duties and responsibilities would
really be driven by what the Orlando
Section members want/need – it may
be holding regular local
workshops/networking meetings, or
providing some one-on-one help to a
member. The key is for the selected
EC to be enthusiastic about career
development activities.
