 Please
e-mail me to let me know if you plan to attend so
that we can get a head count for the food. There is
no formal sign up necessary but we do need to know
how much food will be required. Pizza or subs
                  will be provided.

                     My
presentation will be an overview of power
transformer protection, covering a little history
of the subject, the evolution of S&C
circuit-switchers, and a discussion of the
                  application of circuit-switchers vs. circuit
breakers for protecting power transformers. I will
not go into too much detail since we are only
planning on about a one-hour presentation. It is an
interesting subject and should make for good
discussion. I am looking forward to it! RMSpeaker
short bio: I joined S&C Electric in
1999. I am the Territory Manager for North
Florida. I have a Masters degree in Engineering
Management from the University of South Florida,
and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical
                     Engineering from Florida International
                     University..
I
am 50 years old and was born & raised in
Miami, Florida. I worked for Florida Power &
Light Company for 19 years, beginning in 1980. I
                     held several positions in Distribution
Engineering and T&D. I joined the Substation
Operations Group in 1989 during the Quality
Improvement effort to win the Deming Prize.
While in the Substation Group I was involved in
                     benchmarking other utilities, buying new
                     substation equipment, managing the maintenance
system, employee training, a member of the
automotive committee, and developing a new
                     maintenance and work management system.

Electronics. We are a joint society of these
                  three societies.
Unless indicated otherwise, everyone is welcome at
                  our meetings including
students, non-ieee members, and even those who
