MAKE SURE YOUR SECTION'S VOICE IS HEARD:
REGISTER FOR SECTIONS CONGRESS NOW!

The goals of Sections Congress are three: leadership training; networking;
and guiding the future of the Institute through the development and
prioritization of recommendations for action. In 1996, those
recommendations included the email alias service now used by more than
60,000 IEEE members. Your Section's ideas cannot be brought forward if
your leadership is not there! Register your primary delegate by visiting
https://www.ieee.org/sc and clicking on "SC 2002" and then "Register Now".
You'll register first for the event, and then the hotel.
If you have any questions, contact sc-coordinator@ieee.org.

CONTRACT GUIDELINES

Did you know...any contract $25,000 and above must be sent to the IEEE
Operations Center for review and execution? This is to protect you and the
IEEE from exposure to liability issues. If you are planning a conference,
please check our web site https://www.ieee.org/contractsonline for helpful
information including negotiating tips and event cancellation insurance.
For more information on these topics and more (standard hotel contract
template) contact us at contracts@ieee.org.

IEEE WEB CONTENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM LAUNCHED

The content and navigation of the IEEE main Web site
<https://www.ieee.org/>, like others, has grown enormously complex since its
launch in 1996. After an extensive search for software to help maintain
all of the content and organization of the site, on 26 June, the IEEE
launched the first phase of its IEEE Web Content Management System (CMS).

IEEE web content will be moving into the new system in phases throughout
the remainder of 2002. Users may experience some broken links and other
occasional inconveniences as the content is migrated and improvements are
made to both content and navigation over the next six months. We
appreciate your patience and understanding during this transition.

For more information, contact Sonny Barber, IEEE Corporate Strategy and
Communications, telephone + 1 732 562 6823; email s.barber@ieee.org.
