IEEE West Michigan Consultants Network Meeting

THURSDAY MAY 30 MEETING INFORMATION:

Our next meeting is coming up soon: Thursday, May 30. The meeting will be held at Atomic Object at 7:30pm. Please see https://www.atomicobject.com/company/contact-us.html for address and directions. We'll be meeting for dinner at 6:00pm at Schezuan Garden which shares a parking lot with Atomic Object, making it very convenient. Reservations are not needed, just show up by 6:00 so that we can get a quick head count for the table.

In addition to networking, exchanging business cards, and getting to know one another, we have a speaker for the evening. Greg Griffes from Smiths Aerospace will be presenting his work on porting Linux to the Smiths VME PPC Single Board Computer (SBC), designed for avionics systems. Greg recently performed this as part of completing his Masters degree in Software Engineering from Grand Valley State University. Greg is certainly a Master of all traits, including Real Time Embedded Software Engineering, ASIC design & verification, circuit board design, DO-254, D0-178B -- you name it, he's done it! Join us as Greg shares some of his adventures with Linux in the real world.
