Are You Ready to Help When the Next Disaster Strikes?

The IEEE-USA MOVE Community Outreach Initiative has been positively impacting the southeastern US through participation in disaster relief efforts and STEM education events. All MOVE volunteers need to go through training, and you will have that opportunity at SoutheastCon 2018 in St. Petersburg, FL. On Thursday, April 19, you can attend a special one-day Red Cross Disaster Services Technology 101 class, taught by a Red Cross instructor – this course normally takes several weeks! On Sunday, the MOVE Truck Systems Training will be held, from 12:30-6:30. This is a great opportunity to prepare now so you can help with a future disaster, or use the MOVE truck for a STEM event!

There is no cost to participate in the training, however travel expenses will not be covered by the Region or by MOVE. If you are already planning on being at SoutheastCon on Thursday or are staying late Sunday, you should especially consider taking advantage of this opportunity to train, as it will add no additional cost.   • Full registration rate covers the registration of one paper. Additional papers registered under the same author will be $150 per paper.

  • All authors are required to register in advance in order to include their papers in the conference proceedings.

  • Each paper requires at least one registration at regular rate, even a student is the sole author.

  • Student/Branch Counselor and "Life Member" registration includes admission to Friday night reception and Saturday night banquet.

  • Spouses/guests registration includes access to spouse lounge and all meal functions.
