BACKGROUND
- The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is divided into regions. IEEE Canada is Region 7. As a part of IEEE, IEEE Canada is also dedicated to promoting research, education and standards.
IEEE is divided into Councils, each containing several Sections. Various technical activities are conducted by each local Secion, together with its Chapters representing various IEEE Societies.
