THIRD CALL FOR PAPERS

SAMPLE TOPICS

The 2002 IEEE Canadian Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering provides a forum for the presentation of electrical and computer engineering research and development from Canada and around the world. Papers are invited, in English or French, including but not limited to the following topics:

REGULAR PAPER SUBMISSION

Please submit a 300-word abstract of your paper to the Technical Program Chair at the Conference Secretariat (see the Important Dates below). E-mail (PDF) submissions are preferred, but faxed and mailed paper submissions will also be accepted. Your submission should include three keywords and one or two appropriate topics from the above list, as well as the name of a contact person with e-mail and postal addresses, as well as fax and phone numbers.

WORKSHOPS, TUTORIALS, & SPECIAL SESSIONS

Proposals for special sessions will be accepted (see Important Dates). Please contact the Tutorials and Special Sessions Chair at the Conference Secretariat for detailed instructions.

INDUSTRIAL EXHIBITS

We encourage industrial exhibits at the conference. If Interested, please contact the Exhibits Chair at the Conference Secretariat for information about industrial exhibits at the conference.

STUDENT PAPER COMPETITION

To be eligible for the Student Paper Competition, the first author of the paper must be a student. The submitted paper abstract must be marked ÒStudent Paper Competition.Ó A formal letter stating participation in the Student Paper Competition with proof of student status must be included with the final paper submission. The competition results will be based on reviews of the full paper. Extended versions of the winning student papers will be published in the Canadian Journal of Electrical and Computer Engineering, subject to the final editorial acceptance by the Journal.
