ABSTRACTS

REFEREEING

Papers at the IEEE 2002 Canadian Conference of Electrical and Computer Engineering will be reviewed based on a 300-word (one-page) abstract.

FORMAT

The format of the one-page abstract is fairly standard, and includes the following components:
  • Title
  • Authors
  • Author affiliation(s) and email address(es)
  • Body of Abstract
  • References
  • Topics
  • Keywords
  • Contact Person
All the text should be fitted into the American letter size (8.5 by 11 inch) or A4 size, with 1 inch margin on all four sides.

TITLE

The title should be capitalized and centred.

AUTHORS

The author(s) names should also be centered, followed by their affiliations and email addresses.

ABSTRACT BODY

The body of the abstract should be left justified, and include:
  1. motivation and statement of novelty;
  2. description of the main concepts; and
  3. summary of results.

REFERENCES

References (if any) should be in the IEEE format (as used in the main publication of IEEE, the Proceedings of the IEEE).

TOPICS

Topics should include one or two matching topics from the list in the Call for Papers. This will help the Technical Program Committee to assign the papers to proper reviewers and to proper sessions at the conference.

KEYWORDS

Keywords should list a few important descriptors of the abstract.

CONTACT PERSON

Contact Person should contain the name of the person with whom all correspondence should be conducted, including email, as well as phone and fax numbers.
