FAQ - Frequnetly Asked Questions 1. What is the deadline for submission of final papers and author registrations? 18. How long will an oral presentation take? 1. What is the deadline for submission of final papers and author registrations? The deadline has been extended to March 13, 2006 Submission outcomes have been emailed to first authors. If you are a co-author, please verify with the others. They have all been mailed to the email given by you at the time of submitting your Abstract. We do require your "Reference Number" to investigate any further. 3. I am a student and the primary author of an accepted paper. When should I begin to register and pay the registration fee? Immaterial of whether you are a student or not, you should register your paper before March 13, 2006 by paying a "Full registration" ( $600 for Non members and $475 for IEEE members.) 4. Why are ‘Student Registrations’ disabled when I register as an ‘Author’? When you are registering papers as an Author, you will need to pay Full Registration on your first paper, and an extra paper fee of $200 for every extra paper. This applies to Student Authors who are registering papers as well. However, if you are a student and your paper has been registered by a co-author, you could register as an ‘Attendee’, and pay the Student Registration fees. 5. I am a secondary Author, and my paper has already been registered. Can I present it? Secondary authors of papers that might be presenting can register as either regular or student attendees. They will still be able to present the paper. 6. Will poster papers be printed in the Conference proceedings? Yes, both oral and poster presentations will be included in the IEEE CCECE 2006 conference proceedings. In both cases the final submission is identical and should be according to the format specified on the Author's Guide at:https://www.ieee.ca/ccece06/author_paper.html 7. What is the page limit of poster papers? The same as regular papers: 4-6 pages 8. I gave a wrong email during Abstract submission. Please help. You can login to the WitanWeb system and change your email. 9. How do I submit the final paper through the WitanWeb Submission System, because there is no option to choose whether to submit the abstract or final paper? If you sign in to WitanWeb you should be able to modify your original submission and replace it with the full paper. If you have problems please quote your paper number while writing to us. 10. What is the "Conference ID" I need to enter while using IEEE PDF Express? conference ID = ccece06 The copyright form should be completed and either mailed to: Dr. Wahab Almuhtadi, P. Eng. or faxed to: (613) 248-4758, Note: Fax ONLY the Copyright Form page with the authorised signature, and DO NOT use any fax cover sheet.
12. My paper has been accepted. I want to add another author to the author list. Can I do that? Yes, the name of an additional co-author, such as your
supervisor or another researcher on the same project,
may be added to the list of authors, provided that the
additional co-author made a significant contribution
to the paper. 13. Can I register at the Conference? You can register as an Attendee at the Conference, but paper registrations need to be done before March 13, 2006. 14. Can you help me with my travel expenses? Sorry, that would not be possible. IEEE CCECE 2006 conference operates at a low budget and is organized by volunteers 15. Where can I get more information on the tutorials? https://www.sce.carleton.ca/faculty/yee/CCECE_Tutorials.html 16. I don’t have a Credit Card. Can I pay by any other means? Unfortunately, the registration fee payment for IEEE CCECE 2006 is set up only for on-line payments by credit cards. It is not only fast and convenient, but also secure. Please note that you personally do not have to have either of the Visa or MasterCard credit cards to get registered for the conference, and can request a friend or colleague to register you with their credit card. 17. What is an Update Registration? An Update Registration is provided to register an additional paper, to pay for extra pages if not paid initially, to register for a tutorial or workshop, to buy an extra banquet ticket, etc. Please note that an Update Registraition will always result in a new payment. Mandatory request to provide credit card information with each new or updated registration is a clear indicator that another payment will be made. Update Registraition is NOT provided for corrections of submitted inforamtion such as address, paper titels, paper presenters etc. - for those please use e-mail to notify the CCECE 2006 Registration Co-chairs. 18. How long will a paper presentation ( oral) be? Oral presentations are restricted to 20 minutes. So it would be good to have 15-17 minutes talk and leave 3-5 minutes for questions.
