EASC Mission & Action Plans
Mission
The EASC recommends educational policy to the Region 8 Committee and co-ordinates the Region 8 Educational Activities programs and products.
Action Plan
Increasing the flow of able young people into electrical, electronic and computer engineering, through connecting volunteers from academia and industry with the pre-college community, and through encouraging more women to enter engineering.
Assisting Sections with educational issues and activities at a national level, and establishing better contacts with National Societies in educational activities.
Helping to resolve questions about the equivalence of academic qualifications for members wishing to work in the countries of Region 8.
Establishing new awards for educational activities in the Region.
Encouraging all Sections to make use of the resources of the IEEE Education Society through chapter activity.
Increasing the provision of continuing education programs for members, through workshops and other IEEE resources.
