Dr Mrinal received his B.Tech.from Institute of Radiophysics and Electronics, University of Calcutta/ Radiophysics and Electronics in 2001 and M. Tech in 2003 from same institute. He recieved his PhD from IIT Kharagpur in 2008. He was a research fellow in the Institute for Infocomm Research, Agency for Science, Technology and Research, Singapore (2007 - 2009), Postdoctoral Fellow - University du Quebec at Montreal, Montreal, Canada (2009 - 2010). and Postdoctoral Fellow - Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal, Montreal, Canada (2010 - 2012). He joined IIT Kharagpur in 2013
