Student Branch Chapter Members Meeting
Members Meet was arranged for all the members of KSRCT IEEE-EMBS Student Branch Chapter to discuss about the mega level Meet that is to be held on 21st and 22nd of September, 2015. Dr.B.Santhanaraj, Chair, IEEE-EMBS Madras Section graced the occasion. It was a preliminary meeting for the members to share their views and suggested their opinions on the mega event. Members from various institutions also participated and shared their suggestions. All the necessary arrangements and the programme schedule for the IEEE-EMBS Members Meet 2015, was planned.

IEEE-EMBS Members Meet-2015 was a mega event that brought laurels to the Branch Chapter. The main aim of the programme is to exchange ideas and opinions from all having scientific background. All the members of IEEE around Tamilnadu participated in the event. It was a two day event that includes Guest Lecture, Paper Presentation, Project Exhibition, Quiz and Panel discussion for the members of KSRCT IEEE-EMBS Student Branch Chapter to discuss on Student Project Funding. This event engaged the guests from various parts of the world enriching the knowledge of students with their valuable lecture. This event was jointly organized by the Department of Biotechnology and Department of ECE. Members Meet achieved the plan of inculcating the members with knowledge in different domains. It happened to be a platform for all the members to showcase their talents.
Student’s Technical Symposium on “Current Trends in Biotechnology and Biomedical Engineering"
IEEE-EMBS Student Branch Chapter (SBC 60891A) organized a Student’s Technical Symposium on “Current Trends in Biotechnology and Biomedical Engineering” on 29th March, 2016. A total of 29 papers were presented by the students. Dr.P.Ponmurugan, Professor & Head, Department of Biotechnology, K.S.Rangasamy College of Technology presided over the function. The panel of faculty members evaluated the presentations based on the content, presentation time, social relavance of the work, communication and work progress. The best five papers were awarded with cash prize and a certificate. The valedictory function was graced by the presence of Dr.Govindarajan, Director, Training Cell, K.S.Rangasamy College of Technology.
