Speaker Bio:

Axel Thomsen was born in Hamburg, Germany. He attended the Polytechnic University of Braunschweig and Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, where he received a PhD in Electrical Engineering. He has worked at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, Silicon Labs in Austin, and the University of Texas in Austin. He was subcommittee chair at ISSCC for analog and power, currently he is on the VLSI Symposium committee.

Since 2015 he is an Engineering Fellow at Cirrus Logic in Austin. His interests are in mixed signal architecture and circuit design, amplifiers, data converters, circuits for audio and power conversion.
