TUTORIALS & NEW ICPS ACTIVITIES
Conference Tutorials are designed to enrich the technical experience of the attendees and their local counterparts. This year we are offering four tutorials that will be held on the last day of the Conference; Thursday, May 7th,2009.
As in preceding years, the tutorials are sponsored by active Committees of the Industrial & Commercial Power Systems’ Department of the IAS. The title and brief description of each tutorial is given below. To learn more about the contents and the presenters of each tutorial please use the link to the description page. Tutorials will offer CEU Credits and will meet the continuing education requirements by engineering organizations looking after registration of professional engineers.

This tutorial will focus on the entire NFPA 70E-2009 standard, with additional information on the hazards of electrical shock, arc-flash, and arc-blast along with the personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements for these hazards. The tutorial is sponsored by the Code and Standards Committee. For details check Tutorial 1 Description.
- Tutorial 2 (4 Hours): Understanding of the origins and purpose of CSA Z462, the new Canadian Standard for “Electrical Safety in the Workplace” as well as the relationship with NFPA 70E. For details check Tutorial 2 Description.
