About our logos...

The logos were specially designed for IROS 2002 by the Peripheral Systems Laboratory of the Computer Science Department at EPFL.

They are based on a novel reproduction technique called Artistic Screening which allows incorporating freely created artistic screen element shapes for generating halftones.

The picture below shows what is really printed and the resulting visual effect: Mount Cervin is reproduced using the letters "IROS2002".
