Spatial epidemiology is a branch of epidemiology and a subject which studies the relationship between disease, health and the spatial environment by using geographic information systems and spatial analysis techniques. With the progress of spatial analysis and geographic information systems, spatial epidemiology plays an increasingly important role in the etiology study. At the same time, the function of geospatial information technology for decision-making in the field of public health becomes increasingly prominent. Public health is an enterprise for all members of society to prevent diseases and improve health. The indicators of public health directly show the living condition of human beings. Their importance is self-evident. Geospatial information technology is widely used in the field of public health through the application and industrial promotion of geospatial information technology in recent years.
