    Hands-On Demonstrations

    Deadline: January 31, 2020

    Haptics Symposium strongly encourages demonstrations of all kinds - for example, of novel developments in haptics-related devices, software or experiments that are of interest to the conference audience. Submission of hands-on demonstrations is open to all members of the haptics research community. Authors of accepted papers are particularly welcome to apply for demonstration space to support their presentation. Demonstrations must be free of commercial content; companies wishing to showcase products should apply for exhibitor status.

    Work-in-Progress (WIP) Papers

    Deadline: January 31, 2020

    IEEE Haptics Symposium 2020 solicits Work-in-Progress papers to enable authors to share late-breaking results with the research community. The emphasis of WIP papers is on the novelty of the work, not completeness. WIP papers should be 2 pages including references.

    Following its successful launch at the 2018 Haptics Symposium, the Cross-Cutting Challenges (CCC) submission category will be held again at the 2020 Haptics Symposium.

    IEEE Haptics Symposium 2020 solicits technical papers that report original, novel, unpublished work relevant to all the scientific, technological, and application aspects of haptics. Papers are up to 6 pages in length, including references.

    IEEE Transactions on Haptics Short Papers Journal Track

    Deadline: September 27, 2019 (firm)

    New for 2020! Papers accepted to the new IEEE Transactions on Haptics journal track will be presented at the conference and simultaneously published as short papers in IEEE Transactions on Haptics. These papers are up to 6 pages in length, including references.

    Video Presentation Instructions for Authors

    Deadline: May 20, 2020

    The authors of each technical paper or IEEE Transactions on Haptics Short Paper are invited and strongly encouraged to prepare a video presentation of their paper. The videos will be disseminated via the IEEE Haptics Symposium YouTube Channel. All contributed video presentations will be eligible for the conference Best Video Presentation Award, which will be announced during the 2020 Haptics Symposium live streaming event in late June, 2020. To be eligible for the Best Video Presentation award, authors must upload their video before the deadline of May 20.
