International Symposium on Assembly and Manufacturing

Technical conference is sponsored by IEEE and CIRP
25-27 May 2011, Tampere Hall
Tampere, Finland

Welcome to the ISAM 2011 Conference Web Pages

We cordially invite you to attend the "International Symposium on Assembly and Manufacturing" (ISAM 2011), which will be held on May 25th -27th, 2011, at Tampere Hall, number one Congress Centre in Finland. In order to promote international cooperation and exchange in the field of assembly and manufacturing technologies, and to provide a forum for continuing scientific discussion, ISAM (formerly known as IEEE International Symposium on Assembly and Task Planning) has been held at Ann Arbor, Michigan (2007) and in Suwon, Korea (2009). Today we are welcoming you to beautiful city of Tampere located between two great lakes in Finland.

The Symposium aims at providing a forum for researchers and practitioners working on the diverse issues of assembly and manufacturing in various product sizes (from nano to macro), production scales (from workstation to global production network), and product life-cycle (from early stage product design to post-production). Authors are invited to submit papers for all aspects of theories, methodologies, applications, and case studies related to assembly and manufacturing in this context.

We are confident that the ISAM 2011 will witness the passing of the valuable knowhow from our scientific consortium to the next generation of researchers, who will further advance our understanding of emerging paradigms in assembly, manufacturing and related ICT, and extend their applications in related fields.

The Keynote Speakers

IEEE ISAM 2011 organizers are pleased to inform that several highly regarded professors and experts are confirmed their presentations and their topics:

Tampere Manufacturing Summit 2011

The IEEE ISAM 2011 is organized in cooperation with Tampere Manufacturing Summit 2011 (TMS2011). TMS2011 will be held in 23rd-25th of May in the same location. The industrial visits are organized jointly with TMS2011.

Tampere Manufacturing Summit is an international benchmarking and networking forum in the manufacturing field. Its key role is to bring together front line industrial manufacturers and researchers to exchange opinions and ideas about different aspects of manufacturing and keys to improved global competitivity and business profitability.
