MEMS 2013 Outstanding Paper Award

This year, we have established the Outstanding Paper Awards. The awards are to recognize excellence amongst the papers presented. All papers presented at the conference, in either oral or poster sessions will be eligible for award selection. We hope the awards will encourage excellence from researchers working in this field and will become a prestigious tradition for this conference series.

Selection Process

1. Nomination (at TPC meeting)
   10 papers in oral presentations and 10 papers in poster presentations are selected for nominees based on the submitted abstracts during the TPC meeting for abstract selection.
   Nominations are confidential.
2. Evaluation of nominated papers
   The award committee members (TPC) review the full papers and attend the presentations of nominated papers during the conference. Both full-papers and presentations are scored weighed-equally.
   The award committee meeting (attended by award committee chairs and six executive award committee members) will be held during the conference to check the final score. Just to check the scores with significant bias caused by huge variations.
3. Award ceremony
• Nominees are announced at the banquet.
• Final awardees are announced at the end of the conference. They receive honorarium and a plaque.
