The Search and Rescue Robotics community is constantly pursuing the deployment of real-world, field-ready systems. To showcase latest advances in these systems, SSRR 2015 includes a demonstration session from academic, commercial, and government/public sector. Examples of demonstrations include, but are not limited to:

We encourage demonstrations from:
Academic Research
We allow participants to interact and present research approaches and developments on robotic systems and software for search and rescue missions and disaster response. We strongly encourage students to submit demonstrations from their projects or thesis works.
Companies and products Demonstrations
Product demonstrations with high impact and relevance to the search and rescue and disaster response field are welcomed to participate. Spin-offs and start-ups are particularly welcomed. This would be a great opportunity to meet investors, stakeholders, and potential clients.
Government Agency and Other Public Sector Demonstrations
Robot platforms and technology derived from government agencies and other public sector funded programs are welcomed to participate in this showcase.

Requirements

Demonstrators are expected to present an interactive live demonstration. The demonstration session will be open to all SSRR 2015 participants. Demonstrators need to register for the conference. All accepted submissions will be advertised on the SSRR 2015 website, which will include a URL of the demonstration, laboratory or company.

**Special cases**

Submission

We are calling for submissions of demonstration proposals. The proposal should include: a title, authors (with affiliation and sector), a brief description of the demonstration (including images), stating the application domain, problem or scenario. A URL with additional materials is strongly recommended (i.e. videos/photos). Additional details may be requested by the organization committee.

Special requirements for the demo should be clearly explained in the proposal (space, equipment, light/environmental conditions, etc).

The demonstration should be interactive. Please refrain from submitting a poster or presentation slides.

The SSRR 2015 organization will only provide table space, chairs and power outlets.

Each demonstration proposal should be sent to kamilo.melo@epfl.ch or ssrr2015demo@km-robota.com with "SSRR2015Demo[demo title]" on the subject no later than September 25th, 2015, 23:59 PST.

Selection

The submission and selection processes will be separate from that of the main symposium. Each submission will be assessed by the organizers, taking into account the evaluation criteria below, the available space at the venue, and the required infrastructure. Notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent on September 31st, 2015.
