  • Take the subway line number 2 to Zhangjiang High Technology Park station.

Taxi Cards

Please print the following taxi cards in case you need to use the taxi in Shanghai - most drivers don't speak English:

Note that tipping is not common nor expected in China - not for taxis and also not in restaurants.

Subway

For your visit many interesting places are conveniently located along subway line 2. You most likely arrive at Pudong Airport. The Parkyard Hotel is located near the Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park station, the Banquet near Lujiazui station, East Nanjing Road station is near the Bund and the famous Nanjing Road. The Farewell Party is near Jinke Road station.

For the subway you may purchase one way tickets (the vending machines offer an English menu) or get a chargeable transportation card (20 RMB deposit).

Other Places

Chantime Plaza

This very big international plaza with many shopping and eating opportunities (including a selection of western restaurants) is just one subway line 2 stop from the "Zhangjiang High Technology Park" in the direction of Pudong International Airport. Get off at "Jinke Road" and take exit 4. On the other side (exit 2) is another plaza with a very big supermarked in the basement.

Souvenir Shooping

Take subway line 2 to "Shanghai Science and Technology Museum" (from "Zhangjiang High Technology Park" direction "East Xujing", 3 stops, 9 minutes). Underground on the left and right side you will find many souvenir, electronics and fashion shops. Haggling is very much recommended.

Lujiazui is the center of Pudong, the financial center of Shanghai and home of the huge sky scrapers. The Shanghai Tower is the world's tallest building, by height to highest usable floor. Lujiazui also has the Super Brand Mall, one of the most prestigious shopping malls in East China, as well as a nice river promenade. See the social events page for some more info. Exit subway line 2 at Lujiazui.

People's Square

People's Square is home of many cultural institutions of Shanghai, such as the Shanghai Museum and the Shanghai Grand Theatre. Exit subway line 2 at People's Square.
