Reaching New Delhi
New Delhi is the Capital city of India and is connected to major cities worldwide by air. Within India, New Delhi is very well connected by Train and Road.

Reaching IIT Delhi
IIT Delhi is located in the Southern Part of New Delhi City and can be reached by cab, bus or Metro rail (Source: SIT, IIT Delhi)

From Indira Gandhi International Airport (Terminal 3):
All international flights and a few domestic flights (Air India, Jet Airways, Vistara, etc.) operate from Terminal 3. At the exit of Terminal 3 (commonly known as T3), one can take pre-paid taxis/cabs operated by Delhi Police for around ₹450 to reach IIT Delhi, Huaz Khas. The distance is about 15 km. One can also take Ola or Uber cabs. Please note that Auto-rickshaws are not allowed to reach T3. There is a metro connectivity from T3 to New Delhi Railway Station from where another metro can be taken to IIT Delhi (Hauz Khas). However, this would take more time (though about half the cost).

From Indira Gandhi International Airport (Terminal 1: Domestic):
Other domestic flights (Indigo, SpiceJet, GoAir, etc.) operate from Terminal 1 (commonly known as T1). One can take a pre-paid taxi operated by Delhi Police for around ₹350 to reach IIT Delhi, Hauz Khas. The distance is about 10 km.

From New Delhi Railway Station (NDLS), Delhi Railway Station (DEL) and Kashmere Gate Bus Terminal: By Metro
IIT Delhi is located 2.5 km from Hauz Khas Metro Station. The Hauz Khas Metro Station is on the Yellow Line of the Delhi Metro Railway network. Metro stations for the major points of arrival in Delhi like the Kashmere Gate Bus Terminus, Delhi Junction (Old Delhi) Railway Station and the New Delhi Railway Station fall on this line.
The Blue Line of the Network connects with the Yellow Line at Rajiv Chowk, the Red Line at Kashmere Gate and the Violet Line at Central Secretariat. Use the Blue Line if arriving from Anand Vihar.
Take an Auto Rickshaw (3-wheeled, 3-seater vehicles) from the Hauz Khas Metro Station to reach the IIT campus. They will charge you around ₹40.

From Nizamuddin Railway Station (NZM):
Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station does not have a direct connectivity with Delhi Metro. One can take a prepaid Auto Rickshaw to IIT campus for around ₹200. Ola or Uber cabs can also be used for the same. The distance is about 15 km.
