SPECIAL SESSIONS

Special sessions consist of four/five related papers that are submitted through the regular review process. Special sessions organizers should submit a brief statement of purpose for the sessions as well as the abstracts of the papers to be included.

INDUSTRY-FOCUSED SESSIONS

Industry-oriented papers are also solicited. By bringing together researchers from industry and academia, the Technical Program Committee hopes to foster collaboration and promote transfer of ideas among these communities. Industry-focused sessions organizers should submit a brief statement of purpose for the sessions as well as the abstracts of the papers to be included.

BEST PAPER AWARD

Selection of the best paper will be made at the Conference based on the technical contents and presentation. The winner will be chosen by the ICAR 2003 International Program Commmittee in consultation with the ICAR International Steering Committee. The award will be presented in the Gala Dinner

JOURNAL SPECIAL ISSUE

A Special Issue of the "Advanced Robotics, the International Journal of the Robotics Society of Japan" will be dedicated to publish extended versions of "Selected papers of ICAR 2003".
