2018 International Conference on Intelligent Robotics and Control Engineering (IRCE 2018) was taken placed in the beautiful city by the Yellow River, Lanzhou, China, during Aug. 24-27, 2018, which was hosted by Lanzhou Jiaotong University and was initiated by Gansu Robotic Technology Society (GRTS) and Lanzhou Jiaotong University together in the spring of 2018. As the sponsor and organizer, Lanzhou Jiaotong University will joyously greet her celebration of 60-Year’s Anniversary, thus the success of this conference not only plays a significant role in promoting her international academic communication and disciplines development such as Mechanical Engineering, Control science and Engineering, Intelligence Science and Technology, Intelligent Robotics, etc., but also plays an important role in enhancing the research and development level of Northwestern China in the fields of Robotics and Control Engineering. Especially, it may also facilitate the implementation of China national strategies named China Manufacturing 2025 and Development Planning for a New Generation of Artificial Intelligence in Gansu Province and all over China so as to highlight its potential significance for the development and progress of science and technology in the Northwestern China.
