In today's increasingly information- and knowledge-driven economies it is not surprising, that intellectual capital has overtaken the value of tangible assets. Some of the world's largest and powerful companies are indeed built on intellectual capital, and, as some prominent examples show, this is epsecially true for electrical and electronics industries.

IEEE ExCom, 2010
IEEE ExCom Region 8 Germany Das ExCom Region 8 Germany hat in seiner letzten Sitzung in 2010 einen neuen Chair für Deutschland gewählt.
Es wurde insgesamt ein neues Board des Executive Committee (ExCom) der IEEE Germany Section gewählt. Das neue Board hat sich bei dem Treffen am 13. Oktober 2010 in Magdeburg vorgestellt. Das neue Board
will die Mitgliederwerbung verstärken. Im übrigen wird die konstruktive Arbeit
im Sinne der Koordination der verschiednen Chapter in Deutschland fortgefürt.
