About the speaker: 

Prof. Peracaula received his PhD from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Barcelona, Spain) in 1963. His industrial experience includes time with AEG Spain and ASEA Spain. In the period from 1985 till 1987 he was the Director of the National Institute for Microelectronics. His academic career spans a period of 40 years. He has led as the Principal Investigator more than 30 large research and R&D projects and has published extensively in his areas of expertise, which include variable speed electric drives and power electronics.
