Travelling to and in Vienna

Vienna (German: Wien) lies in the east of Austria. It is the capital of the republic of Austria and of one of the nine states of Austria. Vienna is by far the largest city in Austria, as well as its cultural, economic, and political centre. Vienna is centrally located in Europe and easily reachable by plane, car, train or boat. The maximum direct flying time to/from any European capital city is below three hours.

From Vienna International Airport to Venue

City Airport Train: 16 minutes, 12 €
(Special fast train) leaves every 30 min (at :05 and :35 every day between 6:05 and 23:05). Follow signs to CAT. CAT is located two floors below the airport arrival hall and leaves half-hourly to Vienna City air terminal Landstrasse/Wien Mitte. With a journey time of only 16 minutes the City Airport Train is the quickest route to reach the centre of Vienna.

S-Bahn Regional train: 26 minutes, 4.40 €
S-Bahn leaves at :17 and :42 every day between 6:17 and 23:17 and takes 27 resp. 25 minutes. Follow signs to S-Bahn
or CAT. The platform is left of the more announced CAT platform. Arrival also at another platform.

Tickets: one way € 4.4 (two zones, or direct to Wien Landstrasse), return: € 8.8

Walking to venue from subway station

From station Landstrasse/Wien Mitte the venue is accessible on foot in about 10 minutes.

Taxi from airport

Travel time depends on day time and traffic situation, it takes between 20-30 minutes. Many options, for example comparison at www.flughafentaxi-wien.at or Taxis/Limousines airport Vienna

Costs: 25-40 €, it is cheaper to pre-book a taxi (from € 25) than to take a taxi on arrival (€ 40)

From Main Train Station (Hauptbahnhof) to Venue

Subway, 10 minutes, €2.20
Take subway U1 from train station, 5 min (every 3-8 min) to station Landstrasse/Wien Mitte and walk 5 minutes to the venue.

From Westbahn to Venue

Subway, 10 minutes, €2.20
Take subway U3 to direction Simmering and get off at Stubentor. From there it is a 3 minutes walk to the venue.
