Brief Bio
Kurosh Madani is graduated in fundamental physics in June 1985 from PARIS 7 – Jussieu University. He received his MSc. in Microelectronics and chip architecture from University PARIS 11 (PARIS-SUD), Orsay, France, in September 1986. Received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from University PARIS 11 (PARIS-SUD), Orsay, France, in February 1990. In 1995, he received the DHDR Doctor Hab. degree (senior research doctorate degree) from University PARIS 12 – Val de Marne. He works as Chair Professor in Electrical Engineering of Senart-FB Institute of Technology of University PARIS-EST Creteil ( UPEC), France. From 1992 to 2000 he has been creator and head of DRN (Neural Networks Division) research group. From 2001 to 2004 he has been head of Intelligence in Instrumentation and Systems Laboratory (I2S / JE 2353) of UPEC. Co-creator of Images, Signals and Intelligent Systems Laboratory (LISSI / EA 3956) of UPEC in 2005, head of Intelligent Machines & Systems” research team of LISSI, he is also Vice-director of this laboratory. He has worked on both digital and analog implementation of massively parallel processors arrays for image processing, electro-optical random number generation, and both analog and digital Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) implementation. Author and coauthor of more than 250 publications (in international journals, books, conferences’ and symposiums’ proceedings), he has been regularly invited as key-note and invited lecture by international conferences and symposiums. His current research interests include: - Complex structures and behaviors modeling, - self-organizing, modular and hybrid neural based information processing systems and their real-world and industrial applications, - humanoid and collective robotics - intelligent fault detection and diagnosis systems. Member of IEEE, permanent member of “Awareness Science and Technology” technical committee of IEEE-SMC and member of ACM, since 1996 he is a life-member (elected Academician) of International Informatization Academy. Brief Bio
Oleg Gusikhin is a Technical Leader at Ford Research and Advanced Engineering. He received his Ph.D. from the St. Petersburg Institute of Informatics and Automation of the Russian Academy of Sciences, MS in Electrical Engineering from St. Petersburg State Technical University, and an MBA from the Ross Business School at the University of Michigan. For over 20 years, he has been working at Ford Motor Company in different functional areas. During his tenure at Ford, Dr. Gusikhin has been involved in the design and implementation of advanced information technology and intelligent controls for manufacturing and vehic le systems. Dr. Gusikhin is a recipient of two Henry Ford Technology Awards, 2009 Institute of Industrial Engineers Transactions Best Application Paper Prize in Scheduling and Logistics, and 2011 INFORMS Daniel H. Wagner Prize finalist. He is an Industry Vice-Chair of IFAC Technical Committee "Manufacturing Modeling for Management and Control,” and a Lecturer in the Industrial and Operations Engineering department at the University of Michigan. ... Brief Bio
Dimitri was born in Leningrad, USSR, in March 2nd, 1974. He received his Ph.D. degree from Université Paul Sabatier, Toulouse, France, in July 2000. In 2001 he was recruited as researcher by the CNRS (French National center for scientific research) and works at LAAS-CNRS in Toulouse. Since 2015 he is CNRS senior researcher. His research interests are in robust control, and extend to convex optimization over linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), periodic systems, time-delay systems, linear positive systems and direct adaptive control. He is also involved in computer-aided control design activities and leads a proje ct for control-oriented software development. He is the main contributor to the Randomized and Robust Multiobjective Control (R-RoMulOC) Toolbox. He has been involved in several industrial projects with aerospace partners for launcher, aircraft, and satellite robust control. He is co-author of over 40 papers in journals, more than 100 papers in conference proceedings, and 15 technical reports for industrial partners. His involvement in research administration includes participation to conference committees such as being membre of the IEEE CSS conference editorial board and deputy Editor in Chief of IFAC-PapersOnLine. He also was for 9 years member of scientific councils of CNRS, council for engineerings sciences, council for information sciences, as well as member of the scientific council for the whole CNRS covering all science fields.
