INDUSTRIAL ROBOT

World Robot Contests 2018---Industrial Robot

I. Overview

At present, the traditional industrial robot is separated from human at work, yetthe cooperative robot differs in its ability to collaborate with people in thesame working environment and accomplish tasks together. It boasts advantages of high security, high flexibility, and high precision, and it meets the needs forplug-and-play, simple operation, easy maintenance, and inexpensiveprice. It hasbeen widely used in many fields such as manufacturing, processing industry, service industry, medical industry, education, etc. It has greatly liberatedlow-end workforce, promoting humans to take more high-end jobs such asmanagement, technology, and R&D.

To implement the national program Made in China 2025, continue to promoteinnovation-driven development strategies, improvethe integration of roboticstechnology and Chinese manufacturing, promote innovation and application ofhuman-robot collaboration technology, deepen the integration of human androbot, and realize the integrated development of cooperative robot and otherindustries, the Organizing Committee of World Robot Contest 2018 will set up“World Robot Contest 2018-Industrial Robot” based on the actual production andapplication of cooperative robot, which will establish a professional platformfor promoting application and improving technology of industrial cooperativerobot.
