Anniversary Event Home Venue, Lodging, and Travel

The event will be held at the The Henry Ford Museum.

Plenty of free, on site parking is located right next to Museum. Refer to the The Henry Ford Campus Map.

If you are being dropped off, you can get dropped off at the center entrance to the Museum at the clock tower.

On-site check-in and registration will be at the registration desk just inside the Clock Tower entrance.

Hors d'Oeuvres will be served during the reception with a cash bar.

Once in a Lifetime! dinner will take place in the wonderful Henry Ford Museum Plaza. Dinner will be a plated entree and include:

Filet and Salmon with a vegetarian or vegan option for those who indicated this option. Blue Cheese and Pistachio-Crusted Filet Mignon and Grilled Salmon Fillet with Red Wine-Poached Mango, Sweet Vermouth Jus

Garden Salad

Freshly Brewed Coffee and Tea (Regular and Decaffeinated), Assorted Herbal Teas and Iced Tea

Dessert will be Carrot Cake. Moist Spiced Cake with Sweet Cream Cheese Frosting.

Requested attire for the evening is Business Attire. (Appropriate attire includes: Jacket and Tie, Suit, Dress, Cocktail Dress, Evening Gown). This is not a black-tie event -- a tux is not required.

This event involves a private cocktail reception in the Prechter Promenade and plated dinner in the exclusive Museum Plaza, so please come dressed appropriately for this Once in a Lifetime! event.

*NOTE* (added 9/15/2011): Because of Southfield freeway construction, an alternate route is advised. Coming from the airport should be ok, but when traveling south to The Henry Ford Museum, use Telegraph Road.

For those traveling to the Detroit area, fly into Detroit Metro Airport (DTW). Detroit is a major hub of Northwest Airlines (now Delta Airlines). All major rental cars are located at the airport.

The Henry Ford Museum is a 20-minute drive from Metro Airport. Take I-94 Freeway East to exit 204 M-39 Southfield Freeway North, then exit 4 to Oakwood Blvd. Turn left onto Oakwood, then turn right onto Village Road. Henry Ford Museum parking is on the left.
