Northwest Area

The Northwest Area of Region 6 encompasses Alaska, Oregon and Washington.


Spring NW Area meeting

The Spring NW Area meeting will be on April 2nd in Richland, Wa. at:

The meeting starts at 8 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. A light breakfast will be available in the meeting room at 7:30. The NW Area Student Paper contest will be in the afternoon.

The nearest airport is Pasco, Wa (PAS). The last flight out is 3 pm.


Section, subsection, chapter and student branch governance

Sections, subsections, chapters and studrent branches are governed by the MGA Opeations Manual, specifically Section 9, Geographic Organizational Units. Officers are expected to be familiar with and compliant with the appropriate subsection of Section 9:

  • 9.5 Subsections
  • 9.6 Chapters
  • 9.7 Student Branches

If a section, chapter, subsection or student branch has by-laws or changes exiating by-laws, they must be approved by the MGA Board. A new or revised by-laws must be submitted the the Regional Director who will submit them for approval to the MGA Board.

Each geographic unit is responsible for reporting officers, meetings, and financial activities.
