  P.Eng and C.E.T. Information Wine and Cheese Session

  In partnership with GOLD, and sponsored by IEEE Winnipeg Section, APEGM, CTTAM, Red River College, U of M NSERC Design Chair, & the Internet Innovation Centre, an information session featuring two speakers discussing : “How do you get your P.Eng. or Certified Electrical Technologist Designations?” Speakers Terry Gifford (CTTAM) and Robyn Taylor (APEGM).

  Manitoba Robot Games

  At the 11th annual Manitoba Robot Games, WIE set up the WIE display, complete with a PowerPoint presentation on Engineering careers, along with a supporting display to showcase the Rosie the Robot project, and had WIE Executive committee members on hand to answer spectator questions.

• February 11th & 25th, 2006

  Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day

  As part of National Engineering Week, and in partnership with the Manitoba Robot Games, WIE helped to organize and participated in robotics workshops for primary school age children at Whyte Ridge School and Manitoba Hydro.

  January Social Event - A Private Dance Session at Ted Motyka's Dance Studio

  An introduction to Salsa for beginners & a ballroom demonstration.
