IEEE
Romania PES Chapter, shorted by IEEE RoPES, was founded in 2002, with a number
of 24 members.
Due
to the high scientific level of the IEEE publications, the variety of the areas
approached, the free involvement in specific activities, etc. the interest for
IEEE-PES in Romania increased constantly.
Every year the IEEE RoPES Chapter organized or was involved in the
organization of several technical, educational, social or administrative
events.
For
the activities organized in 2004, IEEE RoPES Chapter was awarded the
Outstanding Small Chapter Award – runner up.
The
Chapter continued to involve in various
activities, same of them being organized with the support
of our partners. For the activities organized in 2005, the Chapter
was awarded the Outstanding Small Chapter Award – winner. The Chapter received a banner, and
the committee members received a placket each.
