Institute of Science & Technology for Advanced Studies & Research (ISTAR) is a Post-Graduate Institute affiliated with S P University and accredited ‘A’ grade by NAAC. ISTAR was established in 1999 exclusively for P.G. Courses & Research in Computer Science, Environmental Science & Chemical Science. Master of Industrial Hygiene & Safety, Master of Valuation in Real Estate & Plant Machinery are unique inter-disciplinary courses conducted by ISTAR. ISTAR is an approved professional institute by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for conducting MCA program under affiliation of Gujarat Technological University (GTU).
IEEE Gujarat Section comes under Asia-Pacific Region, the Region 10 of IEEE. The Gujarat Section, a sub section of Bombay Section, was upgraded to full fledged section on 15th August 1990. In 2004 Gujarat Section was adjudged the Outstanding Small Section of Region 10. Currently IEEE Gujarat Section has 11 chapters and 22 IEEE Student Branches. The section has emphasis on quality programmes and such programmes are regular feature for professional development of its members. The section’s participative philosophy allows students to make programmes as per their own need.
