A Talk on “Robot: Its Significance and Influence on the Future Graduates”

On 28th January 2005, a talk on the topic “Robot Its Significance and Influence on the Future Graduates” had been held at seminar room, Faculty of Engineering University Putra Malaysia. This talk was organized by Institute of Electric and Electronic Engineer Student Branch, University Putra Malaysia with co-operation from Department of Electric and Electronic Engineering University Putra Malaysia. The talk was started on 3:00 pm

The objective for this talk was to give some exposures to the students on how to organize, manage and implement a successful program. Besides that,on this program the new committee board will take this precious opportunity on inculcate team-work relationship. Moreover, the members of the Institute of Electric and Electronic Engineer Student Branch and the participant could gain some knowledge from the beneficial talk and would had some briefly description of the engineer field.

There were 35 participants joined the talk. Most of them were from second year student of Electrical Engineering and other from first year and the third year students from the same department. The talk was given by our lecturer from Department of Electric and Electronic Engineering who was Dr. Mohd Hamiruce Marhaban.

             The program was efficiently implemented as we had planned. Besides giving a talked, DR Mohd Hamiruce Marhaban had invited us to visit a robotic lab. During the visit, our bachelor students who invented a robot showed us his robot, which will be taken part in robotic competition for inter-varsity level. Most of the students were impressed as the robot moved. They also showed their interesting and give good responds.

Finally, Dr encouraged us to join this robotic field as it had brilliance potential on the future. He remarked that students should try to be a pioneer and not afraid to explore new knowledge because new generations were the leader to the new future. He expressed his thankful for inviting him for this program.

            The program was ended at 5:30pm after giving him a souvenir for his willing. Students were served with hi-tea and also the guests.
