Sam Terry / Lane Bradford, Eaton/Cutler-Hammer

Bio:

Sam Terry is an Applications Engineer with Eaton/Cutler-Hammer and has served the immediate Houston area for the last 7 years. He is a 1976 Graduate of Texas A&M with a BSEE and a Senior Member of IEEE. Sam has been with the Westinghouse/Eaton family for his entire 31 year career holding various positions in the Louisiana and Texas geographies- General Field Sales, PLC specialist, Drives specialist and Plant Manager- Houston MCC Plant.

Lane Bradford is one of Eaton/Cutler-Hammer's Application Engineers located in Houston. Lane's last assignment with Eaton was as the Sales Manager of the Houston Service Center for custom motor control centers and explosion proof enclosed control. Prior experience includes Westinghouse, before being acquired by Eaton, Siemens Energy and Automation, Gould and I-T-E Electric as well as Graybar Electric in San Antonio. Lane received his engineering degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1971.

   
Presentation:

Relay/Breaker Coordination and a Review of Recent N.E.C. Selective Coordination Requirements. The presentation will include a brief review of coordination basics, background on the 2005 Selective Coordination changes to the NEC Code, a discussion regarding selective coordination mandated requirements, selective coordination discussion in relationship to protective devices and how they operate, and arc flash considerations.
