                    | Presentation: |
Selection & Applications Of Power Factor Correction Capacitors for Industrial and Large Commercial Users. The The presentation will focus on the applications of shunt capacitors and will cover topics such as power factor fundamentals including displacement and total power factors, selection and sizing of power factor correction capacitor and cost benefits and utility rate structures. It will also discuss other related application issues like proper location of capacitors in the facility distribution system, effects of harmonics, fixed vs. automatic banks, selection of circuit protection and isolation devices, applicable standards and codes, various considerations for capacitor banks connected at motor terminals, and certain aspects of storage, maintenance, and installation. |
