Speaker: Jerry Paonessa, Assistant Director of Technology, KENS-TV/DT Channel 5
   
Bio:

.Jerry has been an employee of KENS for 7 years. He came to KENS from Sony Electronics, where he was a Senior Engineer at their Irving Customer Service Center the few years before it closed. He has worked in Radio and TV here in San Antonio since 1980. Prior to that he was in the USAF for 22 years, most of it in Armed Forces Radio and Television Service. He attended LSU in the 1960’s, but since then updated his technical skills at The University of Maryland Overseas Division and Sony University. Jerry is a 21-year member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers.

Abstract: The presentation topic is an explanation of the switch from analog to digital television signal as sponsored by the National Association of Broadcasters for the DTV Speakers Bureau of which Mr. Paonessa is a member. See also the announcement poster that Jerry provided us courtesy of a Department of Commerce template.
