Statement Regarding COVID-19
The RO-MAN Steering and Organizing Committees are constantly monitoring the information and advice given by the World Health Organisation and the Governments about the COVID-19 pandemic (Coronavirus). Please know that health and safety are our first priority. Our thoughts are with those affected by the restrictions, difficulties and uncertainty that people are facing.
At this point, we would like to confirm that:
- The paper submission deadline has been extended to the 29th of April to provide authors of the time to produce their best work, despite the many additional challenges we are facing at the moment.
- We are considering alternatives to allow for remote participation to both the main conference and workshops should disruptions still occur in September.
- All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings and uploaded to IEEExplore, regardless of whether a physical or virtual presentation will be given.
Please rest assured that all our efforts are to go ahead with the physical conference as planned. We are profoundly convinced that scientific conferences are not only about the presentation of papers but, more importantly, about bringing together the community and nurture the exchange of ideas.
However, final organization decisions will be made when we know more, by early June at the latest. This will ensure people have ample time to make travel arrangements, in the case of physical attendance.
Further announcements and updates will be given in due course.
Any questions please contact us and we look forward to seeing you either in person or on our screens this year. In the meantime, we hope you stay safe and well.
