The University of Denver is a private suburban university located approximately thirteen kilometers (eight miles) south of downtown Denver at the base of the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. The compact campus serves about 5,000 graduate students and 4,000 undergraduates. The academic programs serve students in the liberal arts, sciences, business, law, international studies, and engineering. The Denver Pioneers also enjoy a proud tradition in athletics. In just the past five years, DU teams have won two NCAA Division I National Championships in Hockey and three NCAA Division I National Championships in skiing.

DIA - Denver International Airport - is the newest ground-up airport to be built in the United States. It is centrally located in the United States and is served by many airlines.

The Loews is an exceptional, 4-star hotel and they provide an exceptional rate for DU events. Please book early as a block of only 25 rooms has been reserved. The $109 rate includes complimentary in-room internet and is good three days before and three days after the workshop. The Loews is not on the light rail train line, so you must have a car or take the hotel's complimentary shuttle service to get to DU. (Call the front desk to set up 20 minutes in advance. Pre-arranged shuttles will depart in the morning and evening.)
