The French IEEE PES Chapter Welcomes You!
The French IEEE PES Chapter has been active for many years. The main goals of the Chapter are:
- to promote the study and practice of power systems engineering;
- to interchange technical information and experience in power engineering;
- to foster collaboration among members;
- to promote linkage with other PES Chapters in Region 8 and in the other Regions.
About the Power & Energy Society
The IEEE Power Energy Society is a worldwide, non-profit association of more than 21,000 individuals engaged in electric power and energy engineering. PES members are involved in the planning, research, development, construction, installation, and operation of equipment and systems for the safe, reliable, and economic generation, transmission, distribution, measurement, and control of electric energy. The Power & Energy Society provides the world's largest forum for sharing the latest in technological developments in the electric power industry, for developing standards that guide the development and construction of equipment and systems, and for educating members of the industry and the general public. Members of the Power & Energy Society are leaders in this field, and they — and their employers — derive substantial benefits from involvement with this unique and outstanding association. |
Over 170 PES Chapters Worldwide
The IEEE Power & Energy Society currently has more than 170 local chapters worldwide. A chapter is the grassroots organization of one or possibly several jointly represented IEEE technical societies, in our case the Power & Energy Society, which directly serves the technical, educational, scientific, literary and professional needs of the membership and the public at large under the auspices of its geographical managing entity, which is usually an IEEE Section, or several joint Sections, or an IEEE Council, such as the Los Angeles Council, the India Council and the Japan Council. The chapter reports administratively to its managing entity, and serves the aforementioned member needs in the designated technical area(s) of the society or societies which it represents. The chapters help the Power & Energy Society to carry out its mission by organizing numerous activities at the local level. |
