The IEEE PES Awards and Recognition

Outstanding contributions in the leadership of the Power & Energy Society activities, leadership in community and humanitarian activities, and evidence of technical competence through significant engineering achievements are some examples of the qualities that are recognised and awarded by the IEEE PES. The list of the IEEE PES can be found here.

The Outstanding Engineer Award program  allows the French PES Chapter the opportunity to recognize the outstanding contribution of a French engineer to the power engineering profession. This award was established in 1994 by the PES Executive Board to recognize outstanding technical, professional and society contributions on behalf of the power engineer profession.

In adition, each year since 2010 the French PES Chapter by its own reconizes "Doctorants" who contribute valuably to power engineering during the final years of their university studies. This recognition is purely internal to the French PES Chapter and gives the awarded doctorants the opportunity to present their work during the yearly so called "Soirée Doctorants".
