Chapter Events - Meetings - Activities

The French Chapter organizes serveral events every year in the form of short conferences or "Soirées". These events are often co-sponsored together with SEE (the French"Société de l'Electricité, de l'Electronique et des Technologies de l'Information et les de la Communication) and more particularly with SEE Club SE (Systèmes Electriques - Electric Systems) & SEE Club SMP (Stockage et nouveaux Moyens de Production).

Key outstanding speakers from the power industry or academia from all around the world are invited to these "Soirées".

The "Soirées" usually start at 17:30 at the Tour Initale Auditorium in Paris - La Défense. You can download the programmes, speakers' bios and invitations below. If you are interested in the presentations made during the conferences download those with links below or please contact us.

Le chapitre joint IAS/IES/PELS et le chapitre PES de IEEE France Section ont organisé conjointement une conférence invitée sur les "smart grids" intitulée : Smart Grids: A Complex Network View par Dr. Xinghuo Yu, Professeur au Royal Melbourne Insitute of Technology, Distinguished Lecturer de IEEE Industrial Electronics Society
La conférence a eu lieu le 10 mai 2011 à 18h à Télécom ParisTech - 46, rue Barrault à Paris devant environ 60 participants venus du monde de l'industrie et de l'enseignement supérieur (enseignants-chercheurs et doctorants).
A l'issue de la conférence, les participants ont été conviés au verre de l'amitié afin de continuer les discussions de manière conviviale.
Un vif succès à répéter dans le futur !

Every two years, the IEEE PES PowerTech Conference takes place. This event is considered as the most important IEEE PES conference in Europe.
