Student Volunteers (closed)

We are pleased to announce that there is funding available to partially support students for HRI 2016. Students receiving support will be expected to volunteer time to help with on-site registration and with general duties, as needed, from 7 March (early on-site registration, tutorials, and workshops) through 10 March, 2016.

Being a Student Volunteer is a great way to enter the HRI research community, meet other students in your field, and attend one of most important conferences in HRI. We are looking to include students with diverse backgrounds in HRI and from all parts of the world.

You need not have an accepted full paper, late breaking report or workshop paper at HRI 2016 to be considered for financial support, although students with accepted work will be given priority. Funds for student volunteers are typically made available as a reimbursement for early registration and applicable travel fees. The funding amount will be based on the number of conference attendees and no specific funding amount will be guaranteed. Detailed information will be sent after the initial notification for successful student volunteer applicants.

You can download the application form here.

Please fill the form, and send it to Dr. Ho Seok Ahn (hs.ahn@auckland.ac.nz). The deadline for applying for Student Volunteer funds by submitting the requested information is January 31, 2016.
