Authors of Accepted Papers

Dear Authors of Accepted Papers,

Congratulations! On behalf of the Conference Committee of the 2017 IEEE Jordan Conference on Applied Electrical Engineering and Computing Technologies (AEECT 2017), we are glad that your paper has been accepted for presentation and inclusion in the Proceedings of AEECT 2017, and will be published by IEEE.

We are proud to inform you that AEECT 2017 has received a large number of excellent submissions. Each submission was reviewed by several experts in the field and the committee chose a subset of those best submissions based on the reviews and the acceptance ratio.

This page provides you with all the information required to complete your camera- ready paper and submit it for inclusion in the proceedings. Here are the steps you must follow:

  1. Please note the reviewers' comments on your paper. These comments are intended to help you to improve your paper for final submission. The listed comments should be addressed, as final acceptance is conditional upon appropriate response to the requirements and comments. The conference committee retains a list of certain critical comments to be addressed by authors, and will control that these have been addressed in the camera-ready version. Also please adhere to the formatting instructions carefully (details are in Paragraph 4 below).
  2. Please review the data you entered in EDAS for your paper and ensure that it matches your paper accurately. Particularly, ensure that the title, author names and affiliations, authors order, email addresses, abstract, and keywords match your paper.
  3. At least one of the authors has to register by paying required registration fee. Deadline for author registration is the 27th of August, 2017. Online registration is available using your EDAS author account. Please consult the following page for registration fees and instructions: https://ewh.ieee.org/conf/aeect/Registration.html

Each paper should be accompanied by an author registration. Authors are NOT encouraged to present multiple papers, instead they are expected to present the best of their work and participate actively in the sessions. Because of this, the registration fee is for the presentation of one paper only. Nevertheless, one additional paper can be presented by paying half the rate.

IMPORTANT: Each paper must have a corresponding registered author to be included in the proceedings. Papers that do not have an associated registered author will not be included in the proceedings. So register by the author registration deadline to ensure that your paper is included in the proceedings. Registering late may mean that your paper may not appear in the proceedings. Please ensure that you complete your registration early. For any question concerning the registration, please email Treasurer: Dr. Khaled Jaber (drkjaber@yahoo.com).
  4. Please prepare your manuscript for final camera ready submission following the same PDF format guidelines as for the initial submission. Papers are limited to SIX pages in length, must be IEEE Xplore-compatible, and must follow the formatting instructions provided at the AEECT 2017 website at the link below. Only two extra pages are allowed where each extra page will incur a USD50/page. It is mandatory that your paper is formatted for standard A4 size paper using IEEE conference proceedings templates. If your initial submission didn’t use these templates, you MUST rebuild your paper using these templates. You may refer to this Check List to help you insure adhere to the required format.
The submitted PDF file must be prepared/checked using IEEE PDF eXpress Plus. Detailed instructions for the preparation of camera-ready papers are available through the following link: https://ewh.ieee.org/conf/aeect/Author_Kit.html#Instructions
Final papers MUST be submitted by the 8th of October, 2017. Any paper submitted after this date runs the risk of not being included in the proceedings. The paper must be re-submitted even if the reviewers indicated that no changes are required. Your paper must use the required templates and must be run through IEEE PDF eXpress Plus.

IMPORTANT: In addition to the PDF version, you should also submit the MS Word version (or other source formats) of your PDF camera-ready paper.

  5. You must complete and submit the required IEEE Copyright Transfer Form to have your paper included in the conference proceedings. Please follow the author kit link above for the copyright transfer form submission instructions. IMPORTANT: No paper can be published in the proceedings without being accompanied by a completed IEEE Copyright Transfer Form.
  6. For traveling to attend AEECT 2017, please allow extra time for travel planning, getting visa, etc. Attendees visiting Jordan should be particularly aware and careful about visa requirements. Related information for planning your travel is posted on the Travel page of the conference web site at: https://ewh.ieee.org/conf/aeect/TRAVEL.html
Furthermore, this page contains information for reserving hotel rooms, airport-hotel transfers, meet and assist services in the airport, and optional tours to Petra and Wadi Rum.
The cost of one entry visa for all nationalities is JOD20 (around USD30) and is obtained upon arrival at the airport. However, certain nationalities require an entry visa to be obtained PRIOR to travel. To check whether you need prior visa clearance, kindly visit the Visa Information page at: https://www.visitjordan.com/visitjordan_cms/GeneralInformation/EntryintoJordan/tabid/61/Default.aspx

IMPORTANT: If you are an author who plans to present a paper in AEECT 2017 and you are of a nationality that requires prior visa clearance, you MUST send a scanned copy of the passport information page ASAP to Dr. Esam Al-Qaralleh at (qaralleh@psut.edu.jo
qaralleh@psut.edu.jo). We will contact the local authorities on your behalf to get the required visa clearance for you.
  7. The conference program will be announced after the Final Submissions and Registrations deadline. A registered author must present the paper in the assigned session.
  8. AEECT 2017 implements IEEE's conference no show policy. AEECT 2017 reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference (e.g., removal from IEEE Xplore) if the paper is not presented at the conference.

We hope to see you all in The Dead Sea, Jordan in November in what promises to be an excellent conference.

Sincerely,
Conference Committee
