To All ISEI Authors
Many thanks to all of you for your patience and understanding, we are just awaiting the last reviews to be completed and also final author registrations to be completed, so that we can finalize the ISEI program. Unfortunately, many papers were submitted late and registrations are also running late and this has delayed the process by around 4 weeks.
Oral vs Poster Papers & Schedule
Please refer to the ISEI web site for an update of paper allocations Oral vs Poster and also the schedule…. These should be posted within the next few days, any questions please let me know.
Guidelines for Paper Presentations
Updated instructions will appear on the web site and are also attached…… please try to follow the guidance and also avoid commercialism.
Oral Sessions will be based upon 15minute presentation and 5 minutes for questions, all poster sessions will be on Sunday night.
There will be a Authors breakfast each morning, please bring your presentations to the breakfast to load onto the computers.

Hotel
If you have not already booked your Hotel, I suggest you do so ASAP….. There are still rooms available for both the conference and also pre and post conference dates, if you have any difficulties with your reservations or in obtaining the Conference rate please contact Veronica direct at: veronica.sostre@ritzcarlton.com Feel free to copy Don Campbell (Conference Chair) onto e mails so that we are aware of issues.

Working Group meetings will be held on the Wednesday afternoon and Thursday.

To solve this problem, you need to first convert your Word file in pdf/A format ( ISO-19005-1 compatible) - it is not the default save option in Word 2010.

Dear Authors
As of 12th Feb the papers shown below have been received and are with the review teams, if your paper is not listed below please contact me. Also If you have not been contacted by the review team then you will be hearing very soon. If you do not hear or have not heard from the reviewers by end of this week please contact me.
We are still awaiting submission of around 190 papers, an extension to end of Feb has been granted, if this is still a problem, please contact me. Please get papers in ASAP as reviewers are doing this voluntarily and also have busy schedules. Please use your paper #000 in the file header.
Once accepted you will be invited by the reviewer to send me a pdf of the final paper, please ensure that it has been through pdf eXpress. If you have not already sent me a “signed” copyright form then you will need to do this.
Please ensure that you have registered for the conference and included your paper number #000.
Once I have (i) the final paper, (ii) the copyright and (iii) your registration, I will begin putting the program together (poster and Oral sessions). This will be available on conference the web site, https://ewh.ieee.org/conf/isei/index.html , hopefully by mid March (if all the papers have been reviewed).
Note I have a very heavy travel overseas schedule for next 3 weeks. You should receive an out of office reply. That is all the acknowledgement of receipt of paper you will get. I will however action your papers and send to reviewers as a matter of urgency.
Please use your paper number #000 and ISEI in the e mail title of any correspondence for the ISEI.

ISEI CONFERENCE – Reminder Paper submittal less than a month away
Dear Author
A reminder that your Final Reviewed Papers for the ISEI 2012 Conference are due by 15th February ..... less than a month to go before we start putting the draft program together!
A few requests / reminders for authors to aid the review process:
· Please put your unique paper number #in the file header of the paper
· Please put you unique paper number # in the file header of the copy right form,
· Copyright forms MUST be signed, as a printed name is not acceptable by the IEEE.
· Please put your unique paper number # in the title line of the e mail.
· Remember to run your paper through pdf eXpress to ensure correct format ... the Conference ID is “ISEI2012x”
Also please ensure that you register for the conference by 15th Feb as this will ease the flow of final papers to the Publication Chair – Remember to use your unique paper reference on the publication form under Author registration.
When you send in your papers please do not be surprised if you receive an out of office notice as I have a heavy business travel schedule over the next month, but if the paper numbers are applied as above I will be able to process these quickly whilst on the road. The read receipt will be the only receipt that I will be sending out.

Author Update - 21st Dec 2011
Season`s greetings to you all.
A seasonal reminder that the paper deadline is approaching quickly 15th Feb 2012`, at which time the program will be put together and allocation of papers to Oral and poster sessions will commence.
We have a total of 230 papers submitted for this conference and in order to assist the manuscript reviewers (who are all volunteers) it would be appreciated, if you could get your draft papers in for review as soon as possible in early January.
To date we have only received 3 out of 230 draft papers for review, which will put pressure on the reviewers in the new year. I myself have a heavy travel schedule and I am sure the reviewers have just as busy a schedule for 2012. Although travelling I will be actioning papers and passing to reviewers on a regular basis.
Please note that the deadline date for all papers to be (i) reviewed and (ii) corrected if necessary by the author is, 15th Feb.
If you could please prefix your paper with your unique paper number in the (i) file name and (ii) signed copy right file name, it would be much appreciated and help to speed up the process.

ABSTRACT UPDATE
The ISEI 2012 organizing team received an over whelming response to the call for papers with 222 abstracts received, in the categories of:
- MATERIALS,
- PARTIAL DISCHARGE,
- ROTATING MACHINES,
- CABLES
- NANO,
- TRANSFORMERS,
- OUTDOOR INSULATION
- SWITCHGEAR
A new topic has also been added to the conference that of:
- ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY INSULATING FLUID
The collection of very high quality abstracts received will lead for a very interesting conference comprising of both oral and poster presentations.
Abstract acceptance letters with unique paper numbers, should be issued around 18th November 2011, with completed manuscripts and author registration is due by 15th February 2012.
A list of papers and authors will be posted on the web site late November.

The Nineteenth Biennial IEEE International Symposium on Electrical Insulation, sponsored by IEEE Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Society, will be held in San Juan, Puerto Rico at the Ritz Carlton Hotel on June 10 to 13, 2012. Specialists from around the world are invited to present and discuss practical aspects of development, testing, application and service experience of electrical insulation in electrical and electronic equipment. Symposium features oral and poster presentations, and provides an opportunity to join ongoing IEEE Standards Working Groups’ meetings.
