The IEEE International Ultrasonics Symposium (IUS) values diversity. Authors who anticipate inability to travel to the IUS because of government-imposed travel restrictions are still encouraged to submit abstracts before the April 1 deadline.
All abstracts will be reviewed based on scientific quality without regard to authors' nationalities. Within one week of abstract acceptance notification, potentially travel-restricted authors must notify the Technical Program Chair, Georg Schmitz (e-mail address).
In documented cases where the submitting author is prevented from attending the IUS due to government-imposed travel restrictions, a solution of sending a substitute presenter is preferred. IUS resources are also currently under review in an effort to enable other solutions, such as remote presentation, poster presentation, or pre-recorded video (registration fee may be required).
The symposium will refund registration fees until September 6 if participation in the symposium is ultimately rendered impossible for the registree due to documented, government-imposed travel restrictions. Please contact YesEvents ( IUSinfo@yesevents.com) for refunds.
