We encourage student poster submissions where the student is the first author. Three best student posters will be awarded cash prizes.
Awards will be based on originality, content, paper and poster quality. Regular papers with student authors are also encouraged to enter
the student poster session for prize competition. Student poster abstracts are not treated as regular technical papers. No copyright transfer
is required for student poster papers. They will be included in the proceedings (on USB drive), but will not be published through the
IEEE Xplore digital library.
The student authors of all accepted poster papers are required to prepare and present the posters at the symposium. Poster format: 4 ft horizontally and
3 ft vertically. Boards and thumbtacks will be provided.
Final version (Camera Ready) Instruction for Student Poster
Prepare the final version of the accepted paper according to the specified format:
The paper is typeset in 10pt, IEEE double column format
Manuscript should not contain pictures or biographies of the authors anywhere
The final manuscript should not exceed 2 pages including all figures and reference
IEEE Xplore PDF compliance must be checked at the IEEE PDF Xpress web site. The file should be IEEE Xplore complaint otherwise; IEEE will not
allow the file to be on the IEEE Xplore database. To meet the requirements, you must ensure that your PDF file is agreeing to IEEE standards which
can be ensured by using the IEEE PDF express system before submitting the paper to the EDAS portal.

Final Submission and Registration Instruction:
The student presenters are required to provide their EDAS account number(s) to the Student Poster Chair via email (cecilia.dong@ieee.org) along
with the final version of the accepted extended abstract by April 15, 2012 to be registered for the conference. The email should be titled
"IEEE SARNOFF 2012 Poster Final and Registration-Author(s)' last name(s)." In the email, please specify the presenters' names, email addresses,
EDAS account numbers for the student presenters and attach your final extended abstract.
If you do not have an EDAS account, you may register one at https://edas.info.
NOTE: Failure to register and submit the camera ready paper by April 15, 2012 may jeopardize the
inclusion of the paper in the Student Poster Session and the conference's proceedings. You MUST present your poster at the Student Poster Session
for the extended abstract to be included in the conference proceedings and to be considered for student poster competition. Free one-day registration is
available for student-poster presenters!!
