The purpose of this 'proposed' WiE group is to assemble a
social and professional focal point for women practising and
studying engineering / technology in New South Wales. Early
days, yes, but the intent of this initiative is to get this
WiE affinity group proposed and active in 2007. The IEEE
and the NSW Section are also keen for this to succeed, and
we are seeking your assistance to turn this 'idea' into
something that can provide professional recognition for
women, as well as promoting an ongoing support network.
IEEE NSW hosts many activities throughout the year, and we
would like to expand our horizons to include WiE activities.
